10 HELPFUL HINTS THAT WILL GUIDE YOU TO A PERFECTLY PLEASANT AND KID FRIENDLY THANKSGIVING DAY!

1. Rest before the big event. For the host: Plan visitors' arrival after your kids' naps. For the guests: Have your kids sleep in the van if you have a long travel to guarantee a kid-friendly Thanksgiving

2. Get some energy out! Go outside (weather permitting) and do a Turkey Trot!

3. Involve the kids in the cooking process. Let kids help with easy kitchen duties so they feel appreciated, joyful and hopefully well-behaved.

4. Let kids help with the table setting. Kids can contribute by helping set the table and placing the Thanksgiving decor.

5. Create a kid's table. Set up a kid's table. Kids will love that they can play without grownups.

6. Decorate the kid's table with festive accents. Include a fun tabletop activity to keep them entertained such as coloring pages with kid-friendly Thanksgiving themes.

7. Create a kid-friendly feast. Let kids plan the Thanksgiving dinner. Let them offer ideas for the food menu.

8. Keep kids busy before, after and during the crafts! You'll likely be busy hosting, cooking, assisting or enjoying adult time with your family, so you'll want to keep the kids busy with Thanksgiving activities so you can enjoy the holiday too.

9. Express gratitude. Give thanks to family and friends!

10. Spread the Thanksgiving spirit with those less fortunate. Donate after the holiday. With many Americans faing food insecurity, Thanksgiving is an excellent opportunity to help others.

8 WAYS TO KEEP YOUR SKIN HEALTHY IN THE FALL

Just because summer is over doesn't mean your healthy skin has to go with it. Here are eight surefire ways to keep your face glowing and skin healthy this autumn season, pool or no pool.

  1. Put on moisturizer cream before bed.
  2. Stay hydrated.
  3. Try an illuminating foundation.
  4. Exfoliate once per week.
  5. Skip long, steamy showers.
  6. Get a humidifier.
  7. Keep multivitamins part of your morning routine.
  8. Exercise to sweat.

10 BUDGET-FRIENDLY THANKSGIVING TABLE DECOR

  1. DIY it! Instead of paying someone, do it yourself!
  2. Stick with neutral colors. Natural neutrals like browns, greens and creams will never go out of style.
  3. Look outside. Thanksgiving uses classic autumn hues, which you may find outdoors.
  4. Let the food be the centerpiece. Create an edible centerpiece or small dessert place cards.
  5. Take a "less is more" approach. Make it simple and minimal.
  6. Look at what you already have. Using what you have at homes saves money on buys. What you have might also guide your theme.
  7. Skip the tablecloth. Thanksgiving tablecloths have become less popular and pricey. You can use a bare table, table runner or paper tablecloth as alternatives.
  8. Shop budget stores. Try thrift shopping. You may have fewer selections, but you may find hidden treasures that aren't in stores or cost more.
  9. Decorate with candles. Candles in pretty containers make decorating easier. Put them on the table. A little of DIY turns basic candles into Thanksgiving decor.
  10. Grow your own centerpieces. you can easily grow pumpkins and gourds for traditional Thanksgiving decor so when the holiday comes, simply cut what you need outdoors.
